Eye candy key to winning the desktop?
I think this is my favorite article of the week: Giving people Ubuntu envy.
So the thing Beryl is most useful for is in winning over Linux converts. Well, okay!
I think coupling easy Beryl/Compiz installation with an extremely reliable projector auto-detection would be one of the absolute best ways to sell Linux. If you could pop a Ubuntu CD into a laptop, hook it to any random projector, and boot into Compiz/Beryl in a couple minutes, the whole conference market would be sewn up in months.
