Welcome to my little propulsion web site! I've only just begun it (Aug '97), and don't expect it to be fully operational until the end of the year.
This site was established to provide the 'net with knowledge about propulsion and orbital mechanics. Some of this stuff is pretty complicated (it is rocket science, after all!) but I'll try to keep the explanations simple. I'll cover some of the basics, but I really want to focus on the cool, strange, and exciting aspects of these subjects. And because I'm a history buff, I'll toss in some historical anecdotes that you might find interesting.
Please enjoy!
Update: Wow, it's been years since I started this... Here's the story (and happy ending):
Before I could complete this, I changed careers from Spacecraft Propulsion Engineering to open source software, and never got around to finishing it. I always meant to, but other stuff was higher priority.
One day I ran across a clever idea to try to build a free online encyclopedia called Wikipedia, where anyone in the world could share the work of writing the articles and participate in editing. I worked on it a while, and noticed that it didn't have much on spacecraft propulsion, so I contributed everything in this site to it.
Over the years, people worked and worked on the content, adding more and more information and detail. It's hard to believe that it started from this site. Go have a look!
